#21 My Bloody Valentine

Slasher flicks have never shied away from holidays. Christmas, Halloween, April Fool’s Day, and Thanksgiving have all been tackled by masked madmen. In 1981 the slasher subgenre soaked Valentine’s Day in blood red with the release My Bloody Valentine and in the process created a cult classic that to this day is still looked at fondly among many horror aficionados and critics.
